Referenced Amaterasu from the game's cover art and Princess Fuse from the game guide I bought for my wife. Both were referenced quickly at home with pencil sketches and then finished/inked at work while everybody else was at a company picnic. Suckers. More or less just wanted practice drawing Amaterasu, who will probably be becoming a tattoo for my back at some point in the relatively near future.

Pencil to ink, 100% ballpoint ink + shading.

I saw some previews for this game a while back, it looked awesome. So how is it?

Every bit as awesome as we could have hoped. Pretty interesting stuff, mostly based (loosely) around Japanese myth and legend. But it's fairly comical and funny, and the art style is extremely unique and well-presented. More or less a must-buy.

It's PS2 right? Already replaced a bad drive in mine and now the new one is starting to go south. Probably gonna wait 'til the PS3 comes out and see if I can pick up one of those mini 2's for dirt cheap. Mostly saving up for the Wii and new Zelda.

Yeah, PS2. Pretty much the system's swan song, I think. Maybe FF12 will be that for some, but likely not for me. Anyway... yeah. You'll be waiting a while if you're looking for a PS3, I think. Recent news leaked that EB is only doing 16 PS3 pre-orders per store. Not to mention the price. I know for sure I won't be able to get one. Wii will be much more likely, especially since the next Zelda and Metroid will be on there. I'm a hardcore Metroid fan.

Probably not gonna get a PS3, but do need to replace my PS2 so I can play Guitar Hero more and of course pick up a copy of Okami. I'm kinda torn about the new Metroids. I love Metroid, but I'm not a huge fan of first-person shooters.

I'm a big fan of both, but I honestly don't feel anything particularly FPS about the Prime games. At least not one and two (three remains to be seen, I suppose). That's what mystifies me about them. They're played from that perspective, but they feel like action platformers. Anyway... picked up the latest Dawn of War expansion, so that's about all I have time for at the moment. I'll be damned if I don't love Warhammer. Who needs consoles?

I guess the only thing that really bugs me about FPS is no periferal vision. Like going into battle wearing blinders. But yeah Prime definately has a pretty good non-FPS feel going for it.

It is very nice to see some artwork from you again. I like this alot. It amazes me how perfect you got her hair to be with your penstrokes. That little girl looks incredibly creepy, although maybe every little asian girl I see after the Ring makes my blood freeze over, heh.

The animal is very interestingly designed, thats for sure. Nice and pointy, like. :poke: Gamer for life! ;p

Heh, I wasn't actually going for creepy with the girl, and she isn't really all that little... but the more I look at it the more completely and utterly dissatisfied I am with her. It just didn't come out right. But that's okay, as she wasn't really the point. This was all done really just to draw Amaterasu (the wolf) for practice. So I'm not all that disappointed. =)

Thanks!
